Audience: ESOL instructors, ESOL coordinators & Program managers

With so many digital distractions, how can adult ESOL students develop a love of reading? In this workshop, participants will engage in several activities designed to nurture a love of reading in students. Activities will feature selecting reading material, vocabulary skills building, and reading games. Activities correlating to writing will also be included.


Facilitator:

Cara Tuzzolino has been a TESOL instructor since 2003. She teaches in an Intensive English Program at Nassau Community College. She also served as the Editor of NYS TESOL’s quarterly newsletter, Idiom, for the past five years. Cara serves as an internship mentor for the LAC’s TESLA program.
